בכל פעם שגיא נוסע לחו"ל הוא חוזר עם מאכל חדש שהוא חייב לשחזר ולנסות בכוחות עצמו. כך היה כשחזר מארה"ב עם חשק אדיר למרק צ'אודר וכך היה כשחזר מגרמניה עם חשק אדיר ל –Schweinshaxe.

If Jürgen says these wiener are good, who am I to argue

Last week, during TLVFest, German film director, producer and Berlin Porn film festival manager, Mr. Jürgen Brüning, held a party at "Frank". The party was held mainly to celebrate the recognition that was given to the honourable contributor to the film festival.

"Frank" is a pompous sausage stand located on 11 Herzel st., in between one of the most hectic night-life area of Tel Aviv.

Why did Jürgen chose his german party to take place at "Frank's"?

Well, this sausage stand is not an ordinary one. It offers German-like sausages. Being a German and taking under consideration Jürgen and his friends daily occupation, I believe they are qualify to teach us Israelis what is a good wiener.

Before opening the sausage stand the owner ran a sausage tasting event. This to decide whom of the sausages, which were made by different butchers, had the most German-like affiliation. Jürgen was one of the guests in that event (and I wasn't, of course). Having said that, I would like to stress some facts regarding german sausages:
1. Wurst is the german word for sausage.
2. You can find a hand full of sausage stands where ever you turn to in main cities of Germany.
3. Currywurst and Bratwurst are two of the most famous German sausages. I like both.

"Frank" sells Currywurst and Bratwurst as well, as other different combinations all can be followed by beer, potatoes, and of course sauerkraut. In my opinion the sausages are tasty and well roasted. Two major things bothered me, the price which is too high for a sausage and the scones which did keep us from getting dirty but should be tastier.
